This four hour class will help you be prepared for
emergency situations. You will learn how to recognize an emergency,
control bleeding. splint injuries, and treat sudden illnesses including stroke,
diabetic emergencies, heat and cold related emergencies, and seizures.

CPR for the PRO

CPR for the Professional Rescuer trains you to perform
lifesaving rescue-breathing and CPR skills on adults, children, and
infants. The class will include what to do in cases of choking and heart
attack. Bag-valve mask, pocket mask, and 2-man rescue skills will also be
covered. American Red Cross book and pocket mask included

current CPR card. Students will review and retest their CPR/FPR skills to

WSI (Water Safety Instructor)
(ages 16 +)
2 weeks
This American Red Cross aquatics class is designed to
train swim instructors. To participate, students must be 16+ years of age
by June 2nd and be able to demonstrate all of the following skills: front crawl,
back crawl, breaststroke, butterfly, sidestroke, elementary back stroke, turns,
and dives. Books are included in the price of the class.

Lifeguard Training with
Title 22
(ages 15 +)
1 week
This American Red Cross class will cover water rescue
skills, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Title 22 First Aid, lifeguard
and surveillance skills. Upon completion, you will hold all the
certifications necessary to be a lifeguard in the state of California. To
participate, students must be 15 by the last day of class and be able to
demonstrate all of the following skills: swim 500 yards continuously,
perform a 9-foot-surface-dive and a 20-yard swim with a 10 lb. brick.
Books and pocket mask are included in the price of the class.

Basic Water Rescue
(Ages 10 yrs and up) 5 Hours
Learn the basic skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies.
This class is great camp leaders, foster parents, owners of backdoor pools, and
anyone who spends time near the water. With successful completion of all
class skills and a passing grade on the written test, participants will receive
the Basic Water Rescue Certification (valid for three years) from the American
